Model Background

The IWC TOP GUN line has always been about purpose — built for the kind of environments where a watch isn't an accessory, it's equipment. The Oceana edition takes that identity and commits fully to a monochromatic blue ceramic execution inspired by the Navy blue overalls worn by pilots during carrier deck operations. The entire case is matte blue ceramic — scratch-resistant, lightweight, and virtually impossible to replicate in metal. At 41.9mm it wears more comfortably than the full-size 44mm Pilot's chronographs that came before it, and at 100 meters water resistance with a screw-in crown, it's built for more than just the cockpit. The IWC-manufactured Caliber 69380 is a proper in-house chronograph movement — 242 components, column wheel architecture, and a soft-iron inner case shielding the entire assembly from magnetic fields. The blue rubber strap with textile inlay is fitted with IWC's EasX-CHANGE system, so swapping straps is a tool-free, ten-second operation. It's one of the most visually striking and technically competent pilot's chronographs on the market at this size.

Note: IWC offers an additional 6-year extension (8 years total) through My IWC registration — if the original owner registered the watch, the warranty may be active through September 2031.
