The Master Ultra Thin is Jaeger-LeCoultre at its most refined — a watch that proves how much presence a simple three-hand design can carry when the execution is right. In 18K pink gold at 39mm and just 8.1mm thick, this sits impossibly flat on the wrist, disappearing under a shirt cuff the way a proper dress watch should. The eggshell dial has a warmth to it that pairs perfectly with the pink gold dauphine hands and applied markers, and the small seconds at 6 o'clock gives it just enough visual interest without cluttering the layout. Beneath the exhibition caseback, the Caliber 896/1 is one of JLC's ultra-thin manufacture movements — just 3.98mm thick — with the kind of finishing and precision that earned this house its reputation as the watchmaker's watchmaker.
