The details
Full description
This is the most overtly sporty face in the Speedmaster Racing lineup, and the blue-on-black colorway is what does it. Where the same 40mm Racing model is offered with silver, grey, white, black, and red-index dials, this reference pairs a rich blue dial with three contrasting black sub-dials, each finished in a textured "Clous de Paris" (hobnail) pattern that catches light differently from the main dial. Combined with the racing-style minute track that gives the collection its name, the result reads as dynamic and motorsport-inspired rather than buttoned-up. It's the variant that most clearly separates the Racing from its more austere siblings.
It's also worth understanding where this sits against the Speedmaster you've probably heard of. This is not the hand-wound Moonwatch; it's the everyday, self-winding interpretation, and that's the point. At 40mm with an automatic Co-Axial chronometer movement, it carries genuine Speedmaster lineage in a watch built for daily wear and convenience rather than the purist ritual of manual winding. Choose this one if you want Speedmaster DNA and a distinctive sporty dial, plus a modern anti-magnetic movement, in a do-anything automatic chronograph rather than a collector's manual-wind icon.
