Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual with rose-gold case and brown leather strap
The Standard

Six checks. Every piece. Before it is ever listed.

A watch is bought as a complete set or it is declined. What is bought goes through the same six steps, in the same order, and leaves with its paperwork and the terms it sells under.

  • Full sets only
  • In house and third party
  • one-year limited mechanical warranty
The Method

The six steps.

  1. Visual inspection, case through braceletCase, bezel, crystal, dial, hands, clasp and bracelet under light and magnification. Condition is described, never graded.
  2. Serial and reference verifiedRead off the piece and checked against the model, down to the dial, hands and bracelet that reference should carry.
  3. Box, papers and warranty card reviewedLaid out and checked against the piece. A set that is not complete is declined, so this step decides whether there is a purchase at all.
  4. Timegrapher testingThe movement is measured for rate, amplitude and beat error. The one step that looks at how the watch runs rather than how it looks.
  5. Checked against The Watch RegisterThe serial is run against the largest international database of lost, stolen and fraudulent luxury watches. The Search Certificate goes in the file.
  6. Photography and video before deliveryThe piece is photographed and filmed here. What is on the listing is the watch that will be sent, not a manufacturer image.
Our Word

What we promise.

Full sets onlyA piece without its box, papers and warranty card is declined, not discounted.
Inspected in handEvery piece is inspected and quality-checked before a number is given, and a piece that falls short is rejected rather than repriced.
AuthenticityVerified in house and by a third party.
SourcingA deposit of 5–10% depending on the piece. If it cannot be found, the deposit is returned in full.
Trades and consignmentCase by case, full sets only. Standard consignment is 10% of the final selling price, with a $1,000 minimum commission and a 60-day term. Reduced rates may be available for select higher-value watches and multi-watch consignments.
Independent Verification

We check where it came from.

Before a watch is listed its serial number is run against The Watch Register, the largest international database of lost, stolen and fraudulent luxury timepieces, operated by the Art Loss Register and independent of the manufacturers and retailers whose pieces it records. Searches are supported by specialist human review, not left to software alone.

A completed search returns a Search Certificate: evidence that the serial was searched on a stated date and returned no match. It goes in the file with the rest of the paperwork. It is not a manufacturer authentication and not a service history; it is a check against reported losses, and that is all it claims to be.

  • Over 100,000 timepieces
  • 35 years of data
  • Hundreds of brands
