Tudor 1926 Luna — Ref. M91560-0002 (Blue Dial)

IN PRODUCTION (released September 2025; Tudor's first-ever moon phase complication)
Tudor spent the last decade building its reputation on dive watches and chronographs — the Black Bay, the Pelagos, the Chrono — and then released this. The 1926 Luna is the brand's first moon phase, and the decision to debut the complication not in the Black Bay line or the Ranger but in the quiet, classically dressed 1926 collection tells you exactly what Tudor was thinking: this is the watch for the part of your life where you're not underwater or timing anything. The blue satin sun-brushed dial is domed — not flat — which gives it a warmth and depth under light that flat-crystal watches physically cannot produce, and the moon phase at 6 o'clock is designed to resemble a telescope eyepiece, framing the lunar disc in a way that adds a visual poetry most moon phase displays at this price don't attempt. Applied Arabic numerals and arrow-shaped markers in silver sit across the dial with leaf-shaped feuille hands, and the date window at 3 o'clock balances the composition against the moon phase below. At $2,800 retail, this is the most affordable mechanical moon phase from any brand in the Rolex/Tudor family by a margin that isn't even close — the JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon we covered earlier runs roughly three times the price, and the Tudor gives you 100 meters of water resistance where the JLC offers 50.
The seven-link bracelet is the detail that elevates this from a dress watch you save for dinners into a piece you actually wear every day. Satin-brushed outer links and polished center links create the same alternating light rhythm as a Rolex Jubilee, and the folding clasp with safety catch keeps it secure without adding bulk. The Cal. T607-9 is built on a Sellita SW280-1 base — not an in-house Tudor movement — which is the mechanical compromise that lets Tudor hit this price point, but it's regulated to chronometer-grade accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day, runs at 28,800 vph, and delivers a 38-hour power reserve that will get you through a day and a half off the wrist. The screw-down crown and 100-meter water resistance are specifications you almost never see on a moon phase watch at any price, and the five-year transferable guarantee requires no registration and no periodic maintenance checks — Tudor simply stands behind it.
