Model Background


The Girard-Perregaux Laureato is one of the original luxury integrated-design sports watches — the octagonal bezel debuted in 1975, putting it in the same conversation as the Royal Oak and the Nautilus. The Absolute Chronograph takes that heritage and pushes it into genuinely aggressive territory. The full black PVD-coated titanium case is lightweight, stealth, and virtually scratch-resistant, and the polished beveled corners on the octagonal bezel catch light in a way that keeps the watch from going fully tactical — there's still refinement in there. The Caliber GP03300 is one of the most impressive in-house chronograph movements you'll find at any price: 63 jewels, 419 components, and a self-winding architecture that Girard-Perregaux developed entirely in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The blue sunray dial against the black PVD case is a combination that photographs well and presents even better in person — the recessed black sub-dials give the dial a layered, three-dimensional quality that flat chronograph layouts can't match. At 44mm in titanium it wears significantly lighter than its size suggests, and at 300 meters of water resistance with a screw-in crown, this is a genuine tool chronograph from one of the oldest and most technically accomplished manufactures in Switzerland. GP has been building movements since 1791 — this is 230 years of watchmaking credibility in a modern package.

Service & Authenticity


The watch is running at 304 degrees of amplitude on the timegrapher. No service history on record. The standard Girard-Perregaux 2-year international warranty (card dated 03/12/2023) has expired. A 3-year warranty extension (5 years total) is available through GP's registration program — if the original owner registered within the first year, the warranty may be active through March 2028. Buyer is encouraged to verify registration status with Girard-Perregaux directly.
