The Black Bay 41 came in three core bezel colors, and the 79230B is the blue one — distinct from the burgundy/red 79230R and the all-black 79230N. The blue aluminium insert against a domed black dial gives it a cooler, more nautical, vintage-Submariner feel than its siblings, while keeping Tudor's signature cues: the angular Snowflake hour hand, the riveted-style steel bracelet (or a matching blue strap), and a domed dial and crystal that nod to the brand's 1950s–60s dive watches.
The other thing that defines a 2021 example specifically is what's inside. By this point the 79230 series ran Tudor's in-house Manufacture Calibre MT5602 — a COSC-certified movement with a 70-hour power reserve, beating at 28,800 vibrations/hour — which set this generation apart from the earlier ETA-powered Black Bays (the 79220 references). It's also a generation before Tudor's newer Master Chronometer (METAS) Black Bay, so a 2021 79230B is the in-house, COSC-certified version rather than the later METAS update
