Model Background

The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph is one of the longest-running and most recognizable tool watch lines in Swiss watchmaking — rooted in the Schaffhausen manufacture's history of building instruments for military and civilian aviation since the 1930s. The 41mm iteration brought the collection into a more modern, wearable proportion without sacrificing any of the cockpit-instrument DNA that defines the series. The green dial on this reference is one of the most popular colorways in the current range — deep and richly saturated with a matte finish that reads more military than fashion. The IWC-manufactured Caliber 69385 is a proper in-house chronograph with 33 jewels, a column wheel architecture, and Côtes de Genève finishing visible through the transparent caseback — a detail the older Pilot's chronographs with solid casebacks never offered. The stainless steel bracelet is fitted with IWC's EasX-CHANGE quick-release system, making strap swaps tool-free and effortless. At 100 meters water resistance with a screw-down crown and day-date functionality alongside the chronograph, it's one of the most complete pilot's chronographs available at this size and price point.
