Model Background
The Omega Railmaster traces its roots back to 1957, when it was introduced alongside the Speedmaster and Seamaster 300 as a purpose-built tool watch for railway professionals and engineers who needed reliable timekeeping in magnetically hostile environments. This 2025 edition honors that legacy while pushing it dramatically forward — the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8804 is METAS certified and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, making it roughly fifteen times more resistant than the original. The beige-to-black gradient dial with vintage Super-LumiNova numerals and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock gives the piece a warm, heritage-driven aesthetic, while the movement visible through the exhibition caseback is finished with rhodium plating and Geneva waves in arabesque. It's one of the most understated and historically grounded watches in Omega's current lineup.
