Model Background

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph is one of the most technically accomplished luxury sports chronographs in production — and this panda dial variant is the one collectors have been chasing since its 2023 introduction. The Caliber 5200 is fully developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin in Geneva, and it's a serious piece of engineering: a column wheel chronograph with vertical coupling clutch, twin barrels, 263 components, 54 jewels, and the Hallmark of Geneva stamped on every one of them. That certification doesn't just govern accuracy — it dictates finishing, assembly, and long-term reliability to a standard that only a handful of manufacturers pursue. The panda configuration — silver sunburst dial with contrasting black sub-counters and flange — gives the Overseas Chronograph a vintage racing aesthetic that plays beautifully against the modern 42.5mm case and Maltese cross bezel. Like all current Overseas references, it ships with three interchangeable straps — steel bracelet, calfskin leather, and rubber — swappable without tools, making it one of the most versatile high-complication sport watches on the market.
