About This Reference
The IW378006 represents the 2022 evolution of IWC's flagship Pilot's Chronograph 43, replacing the long-running Valjoux 7750-based references with the in-house calibre 69385 — a column-wheel integrated chronograph that marks a meaningful step up in movement architecture. The green sunray dial delivers a colour that shifts between deep forest and bright emerald depending on the light, set against large white Arabic numerals, a triangle index at 12 o'clock, and luminescent hands sized for cockpit-level legibility. Three subdials manage the chronograph's 12-hour stop-time function, while a day-date display at 3 o'clock handles daily practicality. The stainless steel bracelet features IWC's EasX-CHANGE system for tool-free strap swaps, and the transparent caseback puts the Côtes de Genève and perlage finishing of the 69385 on full display.
