The 41mm Constellation is an odd watch in Omega's lineup because it competes with its own stablemates and mostly wins on pure design conviction. At the same price tier you could buy an Aqua Terra with three times the water resistance and a sportier case, but the Constellation doesn't care — it commits fully to being a dress-forward watch that happens to carry a Master Chronometer movement. The polished black ceramic bezel with Liquidmetal Roman numerals is the centerpiece: it's a material combination Omega pioneered and no one else replicates at this price, and it gives the watch a visual sharpness that a plain steel bezel can't touch. The silk-embossed rhodium-grey dial sits underneath with fully blackened hands, indexes, logo, and Constellation star — a monochromatic palette that reads darker and more modern than the two-tone silver-and-rhodium approach of the older Constellation generations. The signature "claws" at 2 and 10 remain, locking the sapphire crystal in place and giving the case its unmistakable silhouette.
This particular reference puts that package on a black rubber strap instead of the bracelet or leather options, which drops the total weight to roughly 115g and gives it a wearing experience closer to the Aqua Terra on rubber than the Constellation on steel (~176g). The Cal. 8900 inside is the same full-spec movement powering the current Aqua Terra 41mm — 60-hour reserve, silicon balance spring, METAS-certified to 0/+5 seconds per day, 15,000-gauss magnetic resistance — so nothing is conceded mechanically for the dressier case design.
